Queensland – in the flow of growth. How long will this last for?
In the last 5 years, New South Wales (specifically Sydney) has delivered on ‘near perfect’, if you are an investor. (If you are NRL State Origin supporter than this is the opposite case for you).
Whilst the Sydney market is ‘in and out of the bubble’ talk of late, it is important to focus on the future. This is where Queensland has already turned the tide. With foreseeable smooth sailing to the Whitsundays.
Reasons why Queensland is likely to deliver:
- Affordability – more bang for your buck
- Substantial increase in infrastructure investment by the State and Federal Government.
- Tends to follow after the Sydney market boom
- Housing demand increase due to constant flow of people moving from predominately NSW & VIC to QLD.
- Job Growth
My expectation around the future of QLD is continued growth (in specific areas) for at least 3-4 years. I would recommend getting on the QLD train.
Just for reference – this is the only time you will see me barracking for the Queenslanders!
